This portrait series was inspired by my interest in photographing people in their work or leisure environments. This selection of photos was taken between 2012 and 2022.
My interest in drawing portraits is a recent development in my practice. For a long time, I told myself I didn’t know how to draw. But over the past three years, I’ve been allowing myself to explore portraiture—drawing women from life, or imagining them into existence, one line at a time.
